prAna Mika Top

Prana, known for it’s high quality clothing for climbing and yoga has designed another stellar top.  The Mika, which  is a full-coverage, modest, tank offers the wearer function and fashion.

The thin, but not strappy, straps meet in the front to create a bandeau twist, which is not too plunging; the back is full-coverage, and does not show any skin.  The torso length is generous enough to cover the top of low-rise pants, which is important.  The Mika also has a built-in bra. It is made of recycled polyester and spandex which gives it a soft, supple, 4 way stretch, and is moisture wicking.

I have tested this top out twice outdoor climbing and several times indoor climbing.  I am pleased with it because I never have to fight to keep the bottom over my pants; nor have a constant tug-of-war with keeping the top of it in place.  Fidgeting with my clothing is the last thing I want to think about when I’m on the rock.

The Mika retails for $54.  I purchased mine through REI, and the only warning I have is thatClimbing in the Prana Mika top colors on their website do not accurately reflect the true colors.  The Dark Teal shown on the website looks more like turquoise, when actually, it is a deep teal, almost green.  The Crimson is a deep candy apple red, again deeper than it appears.

This is an awesome review, thank you posting it! The gang here @ Prana were just talking about the Mika top and curious as to what our customers felt about it. What great timing!
